Anna Dvorchik is a trial attorney who focuses on commercial litigation and white-collar criminal defense. In addition, she is an appellate lawyer and has argued appeals in both the Virginia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Virginia.
Ms. Dvorchik has extensive experience managing complex litigation matters within federal and state courts. Ms. Dvorchik’s familiarity with the intricacies of local court procedures derives from both her private law firm practice experience as well as having clerked for four judges at the federal and state levels. These experiences provide her with rare insight on how a court may view a litigation matter.
Immediately before joining Protorae Law, Ms. Dvorchik operated her own law firm. Ms. Dvorchik began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Charles B. Day, Magistrate Judge, for the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. She then joined the Office of the Public Defender for the City and County of Fairfax. Anna left that office at the request of the Honorable M. Langhorne Keith, Circuit Court Judge for the County of Fairfax, to work as his law clerk. Upon his retirement, she clerked for his replacement the Honorable Charles J. Maxfield. After her term expired with the court, she entered the private practice of criminal law with Yeager and Thelin where she remained until returning to the public defender’s office. In April 2010 she took a break from litigation to focus on her family but returned to work in May at the request of the Fairfax County Circuit Court, to be a law clerk for the Honorable Brett A. Kassabian. In April 2011, Ms. Dvorchik formed her own law firm offering litigation support to law firms. She joined Protorae Law PLLC, after working extensively for the firm on multiple litigation matters.
Ms. Dvorchik received her law degree cum laude from Washington and Lee School of Law where she served as the Editor and Chief of the Environmental Law Digest and was active in the Women’s Law Student Organization. She received her bachelor of arts degree from Connecticut College where she graduated with distinction in History.
Anna lives in the City of Alexandria Virginia with her husband and two children.
