Business Litigation

Business Litigation

We view litigation strategies in the context of our clients’ business objectives.   From negotiating an out-of-court settlement to litigating a matter at trial, our attorneys remain focused on your company’s business ends from the first day of our representation.

Litigation is a multi-dimensional endeavor, in which it is necessary to be flexible, creative, and persistent.  We begin each representation by reviewing our client’s goals and developing a strategy in order to achieve these goals.  During all litigation stages, our attorneys remain committed to strategically working toward your goals.

Although we are trial attorneys, we appreciate that litigation is an expensive and time consuming process.  For certain cases, we have developed alternative billing solutions to help manage the client’s costs.  And, at our client’s option, we will explore potential methods to resolve commercial disputes outside of litigation, including mediation and arbitration strategies.

Our Business Litigation Team works closely with Protorae Law’s Unfair Business Practices and Employment Teams in order to provide comprehensive solutions to your needs.

Experience Counts

Our attorneys have years of experience in litigating business disputes in both state and federal courts.  The Business Litigation Team consists of James B. Kinsel, Brian F. Chandler, Anna Dvorchik, Devon Hewitt and Leigh Sprowls, who together, bring deep bench strength to managing business disputes.

In addition to courtroom litigation, our attorneys also have significant experience in mediating and arbitrating disputes throughout the United States.  Our experience assists us in devising workable litigation strategies in complex litigation matters.

Technology Makes the Case

At Protorae Law, we use technology to both assist us in managing complex litigation matters and as a tool to communicate with and cooperate with our clients.  For example, we use case management software to organize complex business disputes; and use client intranet sites on our website to allow our clients to remain up to date and involved in their litigation on a day-to-day basis.

We also have significant experience relating to E-discovery and the use of computer forensic analysis in business litigation matters.  You will find that our knowledge of E-discovery techniques frequently assists us in effectively presenting or defending your business dispute in today’s high tech legal environment.

Our Team Work Approach and Business Litigation

Our team work approach allows us to handle litigation matters in a collaborative and cost-effective manner.  Although the members of our Business Litigation Team are trial attorneys, we work closely with our attorneys from the firm’s Business and Employment teams in order to ensure a comprehensive approach to our clients’ business disputes.  In addition, the trial attorneys in our Business Litigation Team generally practice in one or more of our litigation-oriented teams, such as the Employment Team and the Unfair Business Practices Team.
